Review of Royal Dick by Melinda Minx

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Prince Rikard (Dick) Norgaard and Jane. In Nordia it is their custom for a member of the royal family to marry a commoner before they can ascend the throne. Prince Rikard knows of this tradition but has no real need to marry because his father is healthy and strong. Dick however likes to do things that no prince should be allowed to do and that is how he meets Jane. While on a mission she helps him save a group of hostages. Dick wonders could this actually be the commoner for him? If she is how does he get her to agree to marry him?

Jane has never though she would meet a real life prince of course she has heard the tradition of a royal marrying a commoner. However she never believed that that would be her. So when she sees something odd while being held captive she knows she must act. When she finds out who her rescuer is she just can’t believe her ears. The more time she spends with Dick the more she feels for him but she wonders is this just fun for him or something more. Can she be the next commoner to be wed? If she does will she live to have the whole princess experience?

This is a great book that will take you through many twists and turns. There is so much I want to tell you about this book but am afraid I will ruin the surprises for other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
