Review of Heart Stopper by Lauren Landish

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

We meet Roxie in Mr. Fiancé. In this book we get her story and are introduced to Jake Stone. Jake is Roxie’s new boss and the new owner of a nightclub with his best friend Nathan. However on opening night Jake sees Roxie but doesn’t know who she is. He knows he has to meet her and get her into his arms as quickly as possible. However things don’t go as planned that night and Jake is determined to find her again. Little did he know all he had to do was wait for that following Monday to come around and he would find the girl of his dreams as his new employee. Can he have it all or will it all blow up in his face before they even get a chance?

Roxie has settled in her mind but she has a good reason. No matter how much she tried she just couldn’t get her music career off the ground. She wasn’t going to use anyone else’s connections to do it either.  So she gets her degree and waits for something to spark life back into her the way her music did. Little did she know that the first time in almost a year that she lets herself go she almost goes too far with her boss no less. Jake is hot she can’t deny that or that she wants him but the way that night ended she knows it is best to just forget it and keep things professional. However it is really hard when the object of your obsession isn’t letting go either. Can she have that spark again or will she lose it all in just one moment?

This is an amazing story. It allows us to see how Mindy and Oliver are doing. We however get to see a different side to Roxie and it is so perfect. There are some twists and turns in this book that I really want to tell you about. I however don’t want to ruin the book for any other readers. I will say that you will be hooked from the first word to the very end. This book can be read as a stand-alone or part of the series. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
