Review of Swagger by Terry Towers

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book is a retelling from a taboo previously published by this author.

In this book we meet Tia and Zach who are step siblings. Zach is a laid off construction person and Tia is a girl looking to fulfill her dreams. Tia and her father always dreamed of sending her to an Ivy league school so even after he passed Tia gave up almost everything just to get the grades to be able to go there. However now that it is time her mother tells her that during the lean times before she married Tia's step-father she had to use all the money to pay bills. Tia is not deterred though she will go to the Ivy League school that she dreamed off and she will graduate debt free if she has her way about it. Her only problem now if finding the right person to make her plan of making money a reality.

Zach has thought his step sister was hot from the moment he met her but knows that his father would kill him if he knew he was having these thoughts. So when Tia starts acting weird around him he wants to know what's up. He wonders is she attracted to me too. However when he learns what she wants to do to pay for school Zach is ready to blow a gasket and he sure as heck isn't going to let some other little punk help her out if he has a say about it. When the tension becomes to much for him will he finally relent of will this be the end of any relationship between them.

This is a hot book about going after your dreams and not letting anything stand in your way. In this book both characters have to decide how much they are willing to put on the line just for a chance at the big prize. Not only does Tia get resistance from Zach but from her best friend Andrea as well. Though this is not a conventional way to earn money the cost of education is making people think outside the box. The only problem is she isn't looking at the bigger picture, she wants to be a lawyer someday. How will anyone take her serious as a lawyer if they get a look at any of this? It is a great read and I would recommend it.
