Review of Defenseless by Corinne Michaels

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Charlie and we get more of Mark's story. When this book opens up we find the mission that Jackson, Liam, and Mark went on to get Arron back. In this book Mark is determined to find out what is happening with all of their clients they are taking on lately. When he talks to Arron after getting him back what he might have heard that they are missing. Arron gives him a name and he knows the one person he has go to to get the help he will need. Little did Mark know that going to Charlie he would also need to help her fight for her life as well.

Charlie is keeping secrets from Mark but this is nothing new she is after all a CIA operative. After coming back from being undercover for 2 years and leaving when she helps Arron's men get him out. Charlie finds herself in a odd predicament, she finds it odd the way they are treating her in her debriefment as well as how they seem to be pushing her off the case that she knows the most about. So when Mark calls looking to work together on the very man she is being pushed away from she jumps at the chance. Little did she know she would be fighting on all fronts. Charlie knows getting involved with Mark is a bad idea to bad there are moments she just can't get her body to agree to that. Also she knows she has a target on her back just like he does on his and they need to figure out what is going on before they can even think of a them.

This book is amazing all our couples are back in this book we are gearing up for Jackson and Catherine's wedding which will happen in this book. We see where Natalie and Liam are at now. This book really centers on what is happening with all of the people that are being sent out on the missions and are either being killed or items are missing. The other thing this book centers around is the fact that Mark wants a relationship with Charlie if only he can get her on board. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I am a big fan of an alpha male but I also like how no matter how alpha Mark is his main goal though she doesn't know it is always keeping Charlie safe. Make sure this is on your must read list.
