Review of Aliens Architect's Bride by Scarlett Grove

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Octavia Reynolds and Grand Architect Joss Noro. Octavia is living in one of the refugee camps that have popped up all across the world since the Mulgor attacked Earth. As Olivia and a few of her other refugees discuss plans to help rebuild New York into something similar to what the city looked like before the attack they are informed that the Draconian's are bringing a person of their own to rebuild the city. Octavia doesn't quite know what to make of this and with her degree in urban development she thinks she can be of some help only to be told that she isn't allowed to talk to him. The only possible chance is to be a bride and possibly run into him. So she signs up and is shocked when she is matched to none other than Joss.

Joss thought he found his mate in his younger years with a Draconian woman only to find that the mating heat affected her and she was mated to an older man. When the woman he thought he would be with for the rest of his life walked away from him without a backwards glance Joss vowed to never take another mate. Upon coming to Earth he feels that humans are beneath him and that he will never mate one let alone listen to their inferior ideas. so when Joss is informed upon his arrival on the planet he was entered into the mating lottery. When he finds out he has a mate that he neither wants no plans on keeping he keeps her at arms length. Everyone keeps trying to warn him against it but Joss thinks he knows best. However what happens when your perfect mate is treated harshly for two long? How will the dragon within react to Joss and what he is constantly denying it?

This book has it's ups and downs. There are times when you want to smack Joss around and there are other times you want to tell Octavia to run for the hills. Over all this is an amazing book that will have you hooked from t he first word to the very last. According to the author this will be the last book in this series. This book can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend the entire series to one and all.
